Marriage Booking Important Notes

  • I, on behalf of devotee(s) declare that devotee(s) booking/attending marriage belong to Hindu religion.
  • Bonafide Hindu Devotees are only permitted to conduct Marriage at Devaswom.
  • The applicants must reach their maturity age 18 years for Bride and 21 years for Groom. Identity Proofs must be provided while selecting the slot.
  • Devaswom will not be responsible for any incorrect/improper details provided while making the Bookings, devotees are solely responsible for providing the correct details of Bride & Bride groom. No corrections will be allowed once payment is made and booking is confirmed.

Terms & Conditions - Marriage Booking

Documentation Requirements

Devotee should produce the copy of the printed receipt along with the original ID proof used for booking at the time of reporting for Marriage.

Attendance Restrictions

Maximum of 20 persons can attend the Marriage as per selection. 10 persons are allowed to stand on the Mandapam and rest 10 persons are allowed on the floor outside Mandapam.

Age Verification

Hindu Devotees who have attained the maturity age 18 years for Bride and 21 years for Groom will only be permitted for the Marriage. Bride & Bridegroom have to show the ID proofs at the time of marriage.

Receipt Validity

The receipt provided after successful booking is only a proof for performing the Marriage in the temple Premises of Guruvayur Devaswom and is valid only for the selected Date. The receipt is not a legal document and Devaswom is not liable for keeping any records for retrieval at a later point of time.

Marriage Certificate

For obtaining Marriage certificate Devotees have to contact the local self-government bodies. Marriage receipt is not an official Marriage certificate.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation will be allowed one day before the Marriage Date and No refund will be provided upon cancellation by the devotee. Due to unforeseen reasons or due to reasons beyond the control of Devaswom if the Marriage cannot be performed, the amount remitted by the devotee will be refunded as per Devaswom refund policy.

Additional Services

Darshan is not included as part of this booking. Devotees are requested to make Darshan booking as per the availability from Darshan Service Tab. Devaswom will not collect any additional service charges from the devotees for online booking.

Legal Jurisdiction

Devaswom is not interested to get involved in any dispute of any nature. However if it so happens then only Laws which are prevailing in India will be applicable. If the devotee approaches court of law then the devotee will approach the competent court under the jurisdiction of District Court Thrissur.
